about me.

i’ve played piano for a very long time, taking lessons sporadically along the way. in the past 10 years i’ve studied with mark shilansky, sai ghose, jared sims, and dave tonkin. i’ve always had an interest in jazz and have focused on it for most of my life, but in the past few years i’ve started trying to write pop songs and play in rock bands.

in high school, i was in an electric jazz group called sound inc. i was lucky enough to know & and play with 3 other fantastic musicians who were on a similar wavelength. sound inc - and indeed, jazz fusion - remains my first love, but we’re older now and things have changed …

after i graduated high school i spent a year at hampshire college. i wasn’t able to form a band, so i started recording my own stuff using gargeband, logic express, and a $100 M Audio midi keyboard. it was at this point that i started writing pop songs. you can hear a lot of those on the listen page.

after my year at hampshire, i transferred to the university of new hampshire, where i’ve remained, and once again i’ve been lucky enough to find some fantastic musicians. i played with a couple groups, but Moon Minion looks to be the one that stuck. we’re playing in and around Dover pretty regularly - check the gigs page for more info.

i also play around concord with john feliciano, an incredible bassist who was in sound inc. again, the gigs page has all the info you need.
